It was too nice a day, Sunny, 73, walked out to the garage and she looked so forlorn under her cover. So I went for a 17-mile ride. You have no idea how good I feel right now, pads and all. I now know that there is life after a Radical and sans Mr. Prostrate. I have been so frustrated, this was my tonic. I know the Dr. said 5 to 6 weeks, but I couldn’t say no to my Motorcycle.  So I rode.

Hey Fatcat,

I read your post and couldn't hold out any longer. Fired up the Sportster for the first time this year and even though we got 3 inches of snow last night I went for a short ride. The roads were dry. Now the snow has to stop. Sure felt good.

You may have the record for time to ride after surgery. Another guy on here rode after 6 weeks and I had to wait till the ice melted last year which was about 5 months. I don't care what they say, its great therapy for prostate cancer. (Had to say something about PCa)

Ride far and safe...

I was thinking about an afternoon ride myself. But not like you guys. Give me dirt!!!!

Great for both of you guys. Was surprised you only went 17 miles. Take it easy Fatcat. Don't over do it...I guess that's pretty wide open as to what that could mean....

Like you, I couldn't resist a ride last week (day 20 post-surgery).  I headed for our local mountains (San Diego area), but only made it about 25 miles before I turned around and headed for the beach instead.  I could sense mild pain due to sitting on the area where my prostate used to be, so I cut the ride short.  I plan on trying again on Tuesday (4 weeks post-surgery).  I never dared to tell my doctor that I ride a motorcycle, so I was unaware that I should wait...until the pain set in.

 HI GUYS , I too also ride but living in the north and having surgery in Oct. season was over for me but as soon as weather cleared in the spring I was riding and leaking but I did not care.As you guys know there is nothing like riding ,good day or bad.
