Phil- I didn't have any heartburn but I do get the headaches and head congestion. Our local Urologist told me to take Tylenol when I take the Viagra. It does help.

Bob- I started out using the Danmar Products - Prelude soft vac pump which was just to pull blood in and some regular vacuum pump therapy. I did take the 50 mg. of the alldaychemist Viagra every other day (most of the time).

I woke up yesterday morning with quite a shock: a stiffy of about 80 percent. I couldn't believe it. It wasn't sexual but rather because of pressure from my bladder. This used to happen all the time, but this was the first since my surgery (I'm just beyond nine months out). After peeing I tried to do something with it, but, alas, it was gone with the flush.



It seems odd to me that I would not have experienced more of an in-between stage with bladder pressure in the morning, but there you have it.



Have any of the rest of you found that this condition was a prelude to getting it back with erotic activity? I continue to be cautiously optimistic.



BTW, nothing this morning, but perhaps I wasn't in quite so great a need of the little boy's room.

The most difficult task for all of us is Patience.... we all anxious to go back to pre surgery condition right away but we must remember it takes time for any nerve in our body to heal properly without TIME!!! i heard of 3 months to up to 24 months time frames return to potency... you are on track ... my Uro also was agressive and suggested the injections after 6 months of not much response with ED.
i am 54 now , and had my open surgery 10 months ago with both bundles spared, at 6 months i start feeling some response down there and started with the VED and being more aggressive with the oral meds as well, at 10 months i can acheive about 90% erection with 50mg Viagra and 100% with the Pump (VED device), as you are i experience mid nights GOOD ERECTIONS but they un controlled yet ,and as the previous posts sugessted i placed my order with AllChemist 10 minutes ago.

Hope all will wor for yo soon BUT you MUST give time for those nerves that are so delicate and been pulled and pushed at surgery and keep up with the therapy...

I'm coming up on one year since my Da Vinci surgery. Luckily, PSA is still <.02 and continence about 98% controlled -- only occasional small leaks. Like many of us, I have struggled with ED, however. Happy to report that about 3 weeks ago, I, too started to experience middle-of-the-night partial erections, and they're getting better. Within the last month have been able to achieve a full erection with 50 mgs of Viagra and a pretty usable one after stimulation but without any Viagra. Seems like 9-10 months is the key for many of us!

you are already ahead of the game , if you can achieve anything without any meds then you are doing fine...i also have occasions where i with stimulation i can achieve 90% without meds, but it is far cry from my Ole' Good HAPPY HARD days haha however i am hoping at the one year mark (when i see my Uro again ) to be able to report that i am almost fully recovered with ED and can chuck the pump away, and if not i would probably speed up the process by starting some injection therapy....

I'm now about 90 days post-op from a RRLP at Northside in Atlanta (Scott Miller, MD). Continence issues pretty much were over after a couple of weeks, but ED issues persist. I'm on a regimen of 20mg Levitra every other day, and daily exercise with an Osbon Pump, but am getting only about 2/3 of the way "there". Is all the effort and expense worth it for long term effect? Anyone with experience?

Yes if you had a nerve sparing surgery (maybe you should post your stats and journey on your profile that way we can be familiar with it ...see mine below "hint Hint) then your road should be rewarding as most of those procedures experience side effects that can be dealt with.

Exercise and Patience is a key for healing nerves and recovery back to potency , you are very early in the process, i am 11 months post op now and just seeing real progress in the last 2 months in the ED department.
Take your time and keep practicing , and if you were potent pre surgery you will see the improvement in time ..it takes a lot of patience.

Great News Loks like yo on the right path ... keep practicing even if you see no improvement for a while it is good for your organs my uro believe in the USE IT or LOSE IT method ....so any stimulation is a good practice...it takes time and move SLOW!!!!

TO GET READY BUT SO WHAT. CONSIDER THE ALTERNATIVE-NO SEX. WE ARE BOTH VERY HAPPY. I AM USING ASTROGLIDE AS A GEL. ITS OK BUT BLAND. HAS ANYONE USED A GEL THAT GIVES EITHER PARTNER MORE SENSATION?

PLANO-thanks for the input.  sounds like you are doing great after surgery. i also had no incontinence from day one.  i'm sold on the robotic surgery.  i wish you well in the future.
