PSA Jitters Kicking In

Just looking for some good vibes my way....

I had my blood draw on Monday and meet with my oncologist tomorrow... just  shy of my biopsy anniversary from 2 years ago.  The butterflies are starting to get pretty active in my stomach.

This one is kind of a biggie because its really the first PSA I've taken on this side of RT/HT AFTER the hormone therapy has worn off.   My last Zolodex shot was March of last year -- it was a three-month depot, but it took another 6 months to wear off after that (end of hot flashes, return of libido)... praying for an undectable!

Hi Sterd82

My prayers are with you hoping you will get undetectable PSA result. As you can see in my signature our gleason and stage are similar except my margins are clear and I had surger to remove prostate. I'm waiting for my first PSA in four weeks.

Your jitters are understandable...you've done all you can right now and the "waits" are so hard.

Hi sterd82,

I'm keeping my fingers x'd for a good test result for you. I know all about the 'jitters'; we all have and hate them, but have no other choice but to put up with them. I'm due for another test in about 3 weeks and my butterflies are just getting ready for another rampage.

Thanks all --- the people on this forum are just the best....! Took some advice and had a drink, played some Wii with my daughter...helped chase the butterflies away....will post my result---thanks again!

By the time you read this, you may already have your results.  I hope that your numbers continue to be what they've been for the past year.  Your surgery was two weeks before mine. Take care and hang in there...Tim

I leave in 45 minutes for NCI to get my PSA results from Friday. It's these moments that make you just want to shout, but I am at a point where it is what it is. Not sure what time your appointment is Sterd, but I'm at 11:00PST. Then my Lupron injection at 1:00PST. Yea Buddy. I'll come back to visit you here. my prayers for the both of us.

Thanks again... the support here is overwhelming --- God Blees you all! PSA was undectable!!!! Next check up in 6 months ---- hoping the same for Tony ---

This is awesome, all the support and prayers at the begining of this thread and as I read further I find out that STerd and Tony both had great results. God is great and so are the people here at Healing Well. Support, encouragement, and positive attitude are major components of a successful battle.
