I will include this in my journey but it is of enough importance for it's own topic.
Today was doctor day here at the Proton Center. As those who have followed my journey know it has been suspected that my PCa had escaped the prostate and was in one lymph node. The is why I have been going thru Hormone Therapy and IMRT to the left pelvic area and the prostae before getting my final 17 treatments with Proton. Well today my doctor told us that my latest CT/MRI DID NOT indicate anything in the area that they suspected. Based on that information they are changing my Proton to only the prostate and not the lymph node. I told him I wanted an aggressive program over a passive program and he told us that to radiate the lympn node area would cause me more problems as it would be my intestines getting radiated.
He also told us he feels my stomach cramps after eating is because part of my intestines have been getting hit as they moved back into the area vacated by the problem lmphn node. He said once they stopped radiating the pelvic area on Tueday my problem would dissapate.
Say of a prayer of thanks tonight on my behalf.
