Well yesterday was my 2 month follow up and PSA test upon completion of salvage radiation on June 4, 2008. Both myself and doctor were hoping for my PSA to decline at least a little from the .422 reading prior to starting radiation and not increase. 2 months after my last treatment we were both plesantly surprized that in the fact that it not only had went down but all the way down to a reading of .09 or less then .1 which most doctors consider undetectable. In fact he told me their PSA testing device will only read down to .06 so to say the least it felt as though someone had lifted a large elephant from my shoulders. I will not take any of this for granted and must stay aware at all times going forward but it was wonderful words to hear him say this and then tell me, see you in 6 months to check it again. I am a lucky guy that it was found pretty early and one who thought surgery had caught in only to have it come back, but with radiation maybe we have it now, only time will tell. Thank the lord and for everyone here that has supported me these past almost 2 years now, your well wishes and thoughts do make a huge difference. Never lose faith and let it get you, the mental drain is the worst and I hope everyone can be sucessful in their treatment journey's.
To say the least everyone on this site is in my thoughts each day that you will have sucessful outcomes in beating this disease.
