Greetings and a War Eagle to all.

I have been off chemo now for 6 weeks. It was not a good experience and left me with some side affects that still are hanging around today. Foot pain and severe joint pain. I am controlling it with the pain meds. The good news is my hair is coming back and I have also lost a little weight. That was the good news. We have great news to report. My blood work is back in from yesterday and my PSA has dropped to 4.56.  tongue Down from over 10. Praise be to the Lord.

So this means no clinical trial, but the whole purpose of the trial was to get the PSA down. I am happy. I did get another 6 month Eligard shot yesterday along with Zometa. I am still happy. What a great way to start the holiday weekend.

Hey Walter,
I don't think I have ever heard of PSA dropping so much nine weeks after the last treatment.  When you called me I cried the best way ~ Tears of joy!  What an amazing.  There is ALWAYS hope!!!  You just proved that...

Hi Walt,
So happy to hear that you really scored a bulls eye with your last chemo. I guess those darn cancer cells are down and out or at least begging for mercy. Congratulations!

Hey Walt!

I'm really happy to hear the good news.  I get updates from your CaringBridge site and learned the good news there.  I expect that Tony is just thrilled.  I'm pullin' for you as hard as I can.

If you don't mind, please post again the War Eagle meaning.  It's neat and I've forgotten it.

I can't begin to tell you how delighted I am for you!! You give hope to all of us.

I have been on Sprycel (dasatinib) clinical trial for several weeks and get my second (21 days apart) Taxotere infusion on Tuesday, 9/2.
