Trickle flow

I am 15 days post op prostetctomy.  My catheter was removed 2 days ago.  I am able to pass urin, but it is a very slow trickle, almost a drip.  It feels like I have to go every 15 minutes.  I went to doc today and my bladder retention was only 108 which they said was very good, meaning I wasnt holding water.  Has anyone else experienced this and if so, how did it work out?

I did not have any trouble with the flow - like a fire hose (15 again), but the feeling of needing to go was perpectual at first. I have been told that is part of it based on the trauma down there. Initially, I was going every 15 minutes. Still today, more than 4 months out, I go a little more often than I use to go prior to surgery. If I am not drinking I can go two hours, but if I am drinking water or tea - every 30 minutes.

I don't know why the slow trickle. If that continues you better let the doc know.

....I kinda' experienced what you're going through. I did the same thing for  a couple, maybe three weeks. I kept waiting to have that flow all the other guys were talking about.....finally, after things continued to heal and I got a little further along.....it just happened. Got the flow of a sixteen year old again!  hang in it gets better, if not, give the doc a call..

Yesterday, I began tracking fluid intake and output.  I was not retaining more than 10 to 15 % of my intake so I felt confident there was not a retention problem.  I continued my Kegel exercises.  I slept 5 hours before having to get up and when I did, it was a steady stream, not just a drip.  No pain and sheer relief ( in more than one form ) on my part.  The good stuff continues today.  I am sure that the swelling and trauma are receding and things are returning to near normal.  Thanks to all for your input.  It has given me confidence that I am not the only one to go through this and really appreciate all your responses.
