Latest PSA

I had RRP on May 28, 2008, and had a standard every three-months PSA drawn yesterday. Received an e-mail from the nurse today telling me my PSA was 0.0! Next PSA is in January.

Also, finally had some success on the ED front last week using MUSE. The sample given to me by the doctor was for 1000 mg. While I achieved success, the erection lasted much longer than either my wife or I was comfortable with and, if fact, I had quite a bit of urethral irritation. Maybe this is a case of being careful what you wish for!!

Yeah, congrats on the zero PSA. That's the mark of our success in this fight. Here's to many more to come.

Long standing erections are not fun. I've had a couple with Trimix injections until I got the dose figured out. The doc started me out on waaaay too much. Ya never know how these things are gonna work out till you experiment a little.

SebringR, here's a short description I'm lifting from another website describing MUSE: 

"MUSE stands for "medicated urethral system for erections." The medicine is a small pellet that is inserted inside the opening at the end of the penis (urethra). The applicator has a thin tube that contains the pellet of medicine. The tube is inserted into the urethra. By pressing a button on the applicator, you release the pellet. The medicine is absorbed through the membrane that lines the inside of the urethra." 

My Urologist prescribed that I take a combination of Cialis (20mg) three times a week and one hour after I've taken the Cialis to take the MUSE - known also as alprostadil (250mcg).
