Monday will be treatment #8 (taxotere+Atrasentan) things are going well, feeling great, VERY active and praying for a big decrease in PSA!

Drum roll please......
Today's PSA was down another 10%....it's now 31.18!

I was hoping to break into the twenties but I am not complaining at all!

I'll off to attempt to sleep but the DEX will likely only allow me 3 hours or so!

Good news on moving the PSA down 10%, it's heading in the right direction. And here's hoping that it goes down at least 10% with each test, because eventually 10% of nothing is 0. Continued sucess be with you and stay strong.

I haven't posted an update in about a month, I suddenly feel like 'a Walt' [just kidding War Eagle]

My PSA went up before my last treatment but we are going to wait and see what happens on 12-15.
Chemo has gone relatively easy - I am usually tired on day 3 and 4 and suffer metallic tounge for about a week to 10 days.
We are starting to look at what next but haven't made any decisions.

Well folk today was chemo treatment #10 and things went as usual nothing to report as it relates to the infusion etc.

However, I did get my PSA test back...... 38.99
It down from 39.97 last month!!!!!

Less than a point, but down is down!

Mary and I are pretty ecstatic, great new for Christmas and all!

For some of you this may be nothing to celebrate over, but as they say "walk a mile in my shoes....."

So now after a long night of no sleep due to Dex, I'll begin to look forward to my personal celebration and the celebration of the birth of our Lord!!!

Outstanding news. Your walk has been in our hearts for well over a year now, and you can bet that when your news is good the hearts in our house have been warmed as well. As Walter says, from the cradle to the cross we are as we are in Him.

A bump and an update before tomorrow, chemo #11.
I've had a great holiday, I've been off work on vacation since December 19th.
Today we just returned from a weekend visiting my family in St Louis.
I cheated and ate red meat twice in about seven days. We have a traditional family dish of marinated beef tenderloin and roasted red onions that I made last Saturday here in KC and yesterday for the family in St Louis. I deserve a little break from the low fat, no red meat diet once in a while but twice has left me feeling a little guilty.

So wish me luck tomorrow....praying for a lower PSA as I round the corner and head for home......

Good luck tomorrow,David. I'll be in the office here in Belton thinking of you and David in SC. Gotta love the tenderloin. This year I had to grill rib-eyes(per mother in law's request). You ever do that for 25 people? It won't happen again. Going back to tenderloin next year.

Nice try Tony, my PSA is down which is great, but so are my white and red blood counts, not so good.
I can feel the germs from all the plane passengers and CES attendees from here!!!

Congrats David, Every time you have a victory I rejoice and every setback I hurt inside for you. Your war is such an inspiration to me. PLease take my next words with a grain of salt as I am hoping they do not sound calloused. You are like a canary in a coal mine to me. You give me hope for the future and courage to face those challenges that lurk in the shadows of the road we must endure. I did not ask to be on this road but if I must travel this path it is a priviledge to be walking with you and many others here at HW. Todd
