Cialis side effects?

I had one side effect when it was still working for me ~ it worked. I commen your doctor for prescribing the 20mg dose instead of the 10mg dose. He is paying attention to the fact insurance companies copay is the same for both prescriptions and you can cut them in half! Smart doctor!

The most common side effects with CIALIS are: headache, indigestion, back pain, muscle aches, flushing, and stuffy or runny nose. These side effects usually go away after a few hours. Men who get back pain and muscle aches usually get it 12 to 24 hours after taking CIALIS. Back pain and muscle aches usually go away within 2 days. Call your healthcare provider if you get any side effect that bothers you or one that does not go away. Uncommon side effects include: An erection that won’t go away (priapism). If you get an erection that lasts more than 4 hours, get medical help right away. Priapism must be treated as soon as possible or lasting damage can happen to your penis, including the inability to have erections. Color vision changes, such as seeing a blue tinge (shade) to objects or having difficulty telling the difference between the colors blue and green. In rare instances, men taking PDE5 inhibitors (oral erectile dysfunction medicines, including CIALIS) reported a sudden decrease or loss of vision in one or both eyes. It is not possible to determine whether these events are related directly to these medicines, to other factors such as high blood pressure or diabetes, or to a combination of these. If you experience sudden decrease or loss of vision, stop taking PDE5 inhibitors, including CIALIS, and call a healthcare provider right away. Sudden loss or decrease in hearing, sometimes with ringing in the ears and dizziness, has been rarely reported in people taking PDE5 inhibitors, including CIALIS. It is not possible to determine whether these events are related directly to the PDE5 inhibitors, to other diseases or medications, to other factors, or to a combination of factors. My side effects with Cialis.

I took 2.5 mg cialis for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks several weeks after surgery as directed by my doctor without any erection (after surgery) and with no side effects. Seemed a waste to take them. (I had no problems with erections before surgery)

I did not use cialis again for approx 6 months as I could only get 6 at a time and didn't bother buying them. Later I started buying 6 at a time and was going to save them up for a cialis marathon. I actually was noticing results from the several times I used one.

Anyway because of getting on prednisone for a problem with neuropathy in my feet and hands I developed thrush on my tongue and was prescribed 10 mg clotrimazole lozenges (an anti-fungal) to dissolve on tongue 5 times a day for the thrush.

Because of the prednisone, the thrush did not go away quickly and had to renew the prescription or Clotrimazole.

Unfortunately after taking Cialis in 1 week on 2 separate days while on Clotrimazole I lost vision in my right eye. I cannot make out details just above the center of vision. It has a grey tint and a distortion.

I was told by 2 doctors they didn't believe it was the cialis but not to take it anymore.

The side effects sheet that came with Cialis does not mention Clotrimazole but other anti-fungals. But it doing a search on the web I found that Clotrimazole and Cialis could cause vison problems.

I do not plan to take any chances with Cialis again, I am off Prednisone and Clotrimazole and the thrush went away on its own.

Taking 5mg (approx, see below), Daily.  I get the heartburn/indigestion, but minor, and usually a couple of tums resolve any issues.  Been on this latest regimin about 2 weeks, also using the VED for daily therapy, without the ring,  combination is starting to show results (not quite hard yet, but 60-70%)  Best I've seen since surgery (or diagnosis for that matter).

As to aprox:  My insurance covers 30 pills over a 90 day rolling period.  (Doesnt matter if they are 20mg/5 mg, or 100mg of Viagara) ED pills are ED Pills.  So I get the 20's and cut them into quarters.  darn Teardrop shape is tough, so I just cut, and, on average, I'm getting 5 mg a day. 

No weird dreams though.

Nope. Only had serious vivid and torubling dreams when on anti malaria medication (Larium). Reacted so badly to it (U.S. Army has banned it) that I went to see my Doc. that's exactly when they discovered the elevated PSA which lead to biopsy and then surgery.

As for side effects of Cialis, minor in my case. When i first started taking it for rehab purposes before I even wanted to achieve an erection i'd get back and leg muscle aches. But not since then when I do take it.

I take it much less now because I can function without it and accomplish everything i need to accomplish. However, I do take them still from time to time because they do have a side effect that I can live with, an erection worthy of an industry pro that lasts and lasts.

Ed, you have me thinking I might have the same problem. I've been having trouble sleeping lately, and I'm taking the 5mg low dose cialis every night. I just might try levitra instead.

The only drug that ever gave me weird dreams was when I was on the patch to quit smoking. It's listed as a side effect. I just didn't wear the patch at night and they faded away. Plus I was still able to quit smoking,,

Weird dreams from Cialis? Not that I recall. A bit of a back ache from time to time but nothing else that I remember. The drug that gave me vivid, semi-lucid dreams, and I am surprised that nobody mentioned it considering how many of us had recent major surgery, was morphine. Talk about your oddball dreams.

As to the point at hand, we tend to dream more when we are slightly uncomfortable. Victorian Romantic poets would deliberately stuff themselves with spicy foods just before bed to see if they couldn't dream something they could write about. In his essay "Of Dreams" Leigh Hunt made a bit of fun of this:

It is certain enough, however, that dreams in general proceed from indigestion; and it appears nearly as much so, that they are more or less strange according to the waking fancy of the dreamer.

It is probable that a trivial degree of indigestion will give rise to very fantastic dreams in a fanciful mind; while, on the other hand, a good orthodox repletion is necessary towards a fanciful creation in a dull one. I am inclined to think that Cialis at night causes vivid dreams through the intermediate side-effect of mild indigestion.
