The various opinions is what makes this board and people so special to me;
First Selmer, I agree, last night as I lie awake thinking I was going to probably get a result that would inidicate I might have a problem; I thought of my day and how I almost had a Car accident getting onto the highway; I was alone and I thought wow, and I am worried about dying in 5 years; it might be any day. Then I thought of my blood cholestorol and thought, gee I might get a heart attack or stroke; and so I decided that my time will come one day; no one can stop it; and I thought the last few weeks; the knots in my stomach and all; and I could have perished on a deserted highway with all my parts. I know that is of little solice to people fighting this dreaded disease, but in reality, everyone has to fight something, very few of us men, will get to be 90 (if you take a drive to Florida you will see); sorry for the rant, jsut wanted to make apoint; that life is short; and having PCa may not shorten anyway; it is a BIG drag knowing you have something; but like the Pink Floyd song; we are all one day closer to death each day, so every day find happiness; for alot of other things are ALOT worse than PCa; I would rather have this dreaded disease, as I have a wonderful happy and healthly family; I see picture on TV of Fathers who have lsot there sons in war or their whole families are wiped out by bombs; if the worst happens and I am told I have 5-10 years to live; that is far far better than those lives. gee sorry for that long rant, but maybe putting it in perspective helped someone here find comfort and strength and then they can live a good 5-10 years;
Ok Selmer; my point is yes you are right; I need to think that eating right is probably the most important thing, with exercise #2. I did take Ibpprofen, so I see your point..do you have any links where it suggests that would lower PSA?
also, as some noted correctly, nothing has been said that anyone does not have PCa; as some PCa do not have rising PSA; but in any event; those may not be aggressive (yet);
It leads to the arguement; that if a Biopsy was perfectly safe; we should all have them after any PSA test. My concern there is that I have read that sticking a needle in a Prostate can spread cancer; I highly doubt that; especially if the cancer is the slow growth kind that all men get at some point.
