Just got back from my surgeon who said that he sees the labs leave the < symbol off "all the time", and that if not that, it's simple "background noise" and well within the range of error for several reasons. Given my lower pre-surgical PSA and pathology report (plus three <0.01 tests prior to this one) he wanted to re-test in six months. I bargained him down to three months to assuage my anxieties
but he said even that was excessive and would not give in to my request to re-test immediately. It's been a tough month as I just lost my best friend at work to brain cancer.
