After he has the rest of his scans etc. you will know more where you stand if he has advanced prostate cancer or has the option for other treatments.

Hi Amy,
Welcome to HealingWell. We have a great group of friends here and I extend a hand to you in friendship. Your husband's PSA was quite high, but it is heading the right direction. And it is easy to be grateful for that. As we battle this disease what we learn about this disease is sometimes we take one stepping stone at a time, and when we do we remain hopeful that new things that are on the horizon become available to us. And it does happen. I tell all our members to remain positive, and I made it my mantra. I wish you both peace in this fight, and welcome you to the best site on the web for caring and compassionate support.

Welcome Amy I too was diagnosed in that age parameter, with significant PCa, way beyond the average presentation, the good news is still here 7 yrs. after, PCa must have also caused my totally urinary blockage which lead me to emergency room one day and finding myself on a forum not longer after, just like you are now. Anyway still doing decent, in very good shape still, working, and pretty much a normal lifestyle. So stay tuned and do not get overwhelmed at this time.

Hi Amy, I'm a high guy too. 3216.12 It will be okay. I feel like I will beat this and I have a lot of support here to help me do just that. Glad you found us and I too am sorry you have to be here. To echo many others here, there is no better group of persons to battle this disease with. Todd

Thanks for the welcome -
we were in the process of buying our first house when we found out - and getting out of a very crowded condominium. I'm happy to say we are back looking at houses but are being more cautious about the money we are going to spend just in case.

As we all say, sorry you've got to be here but you have arrived at a great PCa forum. The depth of knowledge here from the patient's perspective is outstanding and all are anxious to help with any question......good luck with the house hunting.
