David, the uncomfortable feeling is just part of the process we have to put up with while using pumps, rings, etc. Sorry, it is normal and comes with the territory. The use of the pump and rings are very important though, more so than any discomfort from it. The bulge at the base is a common problem, it is for me at least. The
opening of the pump is such that it allows other parts of the male anatomy to be pulled in. In this case, I bet its not blood. but scrotal tissue and abdominal fat layers. The fact that you can press on it and it goes back outside the ring is exactly what happens to me. The bulge itself isn't dangerous, unless maybe you have it in the ring during intercourse, then some bruising could happen. More likely it would be pressed back out of the ring. When I have this, I usually just press it back outside, but I also will lose a little of the erection because of it. so it's a trade off. I bet the forcing the blood out feeling is the tissue being pressed back out instead. Some pumps come with smaller diameter
openings or inserts that will close the
opening down, but they then cause interference with placing and rolling off the rings in some models. Your Osbon may have come with a couple different sized reducers for the
opening, so if it did, experiment to see if one works better. In any case, do continue using the pump and if you want to help things along even more, use a ring at least once a day to hold the blood in to expand the tissue and keep it limbered and able to expand easily. I do this myself by placing the ring on before my morning shower and removing after. This, combined with the usual pumping without rings will do your penis-and rehab-a world of good...
