Surgical Intervention in my Incontinence Problem

One week today since my surgeries...still a great deal of expected discomfort but progressing toward that time when everything normalizes.  Needless to say I am looking forward to Feb or, better still,  glorious spring when this will be behind me.

New Subject:  9 months PSA report <0.01 just received.

It gives me a great deal of satisfaction that my efforts and that of all my doctors/surgeons are definitely paying off.  The journey is long and painful but it does prove that this incidious disease and its henchmen, incontinence and ED, can be defeated.  For all you guys out there that have recently found out you got it or for those of you that are in the middle of your fight...buck up boys!...Onward!...you can win this fight just hang in there and continue the good fight.

What a great gung-ho attitude.  Most of the guys on this forum suffer tremendously in attempting to get dry again and erections back but somehow the idea of penile implant or artificial urinary sphincter just cannot be tolerated.   I know.  I was just like that at first.  But now, how glad I am to be dry and erectable.  Keep on hanging for another five weeks or so till activation... and then...Woweeeee again.

But I clarify:  If you can get dry and get hard again without these implants... don't do it. 

I will soon post another website which shows videos of the surgical outcome, if the administration will permit it.  In the meantime, anyone who would like to see these video, which are definitely in good taste and very clinical, email me.

To answer your question: The quality of the erection is wonderful.  And it stays as long as you desire, even after orgasm.  That helps the wife with the husband who has always been quick on the trigger.  He can be like the Energizer Bunny. 

The glands penis is, to me, not as sensitive as before, but also maintains until the wife is totally pleasured.  My orgasms are good and/or very good, depending upon my state of mind, of course.. just like before.  My implant does not extend very far into the head and therefore it is not as firm as in the olden days, but that does not affect the sensitivity, orgasm, or pleasure.  I have the AMS 700CX.  The AMS 700LGX does extend into the glands further and does, most likely, engorge the glands a little more, but from what some say does not increase the girth and is not a rigid.  This is all could be more perception, however. 

The bottom line is I am restored to pre prostrate removal days...and even better.  I was beginning to "lose it" somewhat due, not doubt, to age, etc.

My suplement insurance policy and medicare covered 100% of my implants. I don't know about "mosts" policies.  Mine did.

Three weeks have passed since my surgery...still hangin in there...life is a bit more complicated now that I feel I have to live in the bathroom to accomodate the uncontrolable flow.  I am limiting my outside pursuits to the minimum.  The flow is greater now for some reason than anytime since my RRP...using a lot, I mean a lot, of pads.  Trying to stay as dry as I can to counter a yeast infection that has cropped up in the nether regions.  Using Nistatin creme last couple of days...seems to be helping a little.  Swelling has decreased considerably and no longer is a problem.  I walk more normally now instead of like a duck.

Well, its been 4 weeks since my AUS/IPP surgery and the swelling and most of the miner associated complications have disappeared.  Getting along just fine.  My yeast infection has cleared up...the Nystatin worked marvelously.  Soreness has deminished to the point it is hardly noticeable.  The IPP pump and the AUS button are situated about midway up my scrotum and are somewhat fixed in position between the testicles.  The pump is stable and does not move while the AUS button kinda floats around a bit in its general area.  I do experience an occasional stabbing pain emanating from the button when it presses closely to the outer skin of the scrotum.  It is a quick stab then deterioates into nothingness...I understand from other posters that this is a common occurrence for my type of surgery.  Incontinence remains the problem and I will just live with it until 9 Mar, my activation date...only 19 days from today.  Until then, I remain

Five weeks today since my AUS/IPP surgery.  The healing is almost complete as there is hardley any discomfort from the nether regions except that caused by my scrotum being submerged in its liquidy grave and the inherent stickiness when skin meets skin.  The wounds, internally and externally, have healed and offer no pain when manipulated 2 and 3 times per day for the cleaning shower ritual.  I am going through between 10 and 15 heavy pads every 24 hours trying to stay as dry as possibile per instructions from Dr Morey.  A monumental task lies ahead for the uretheral cuff to stop the flow of my internal river.  I will find out how successful this procedure is in 12 more days.  Until then I remain in prayerful pose

12 days is nothing compared to what you've been throught, right?  One of the benefits of the AUS is being able to walk up to the commond and empty out a great big stream.  Even before my prostatectomy, it had been a long time since I was able to do that.  For years, when there was a younger guy in the next stall, it sounded as if he was producing a waterfall.  Now... now I can too!  Besides that, using one teeny, tiny pad a day is great... again... compared to before.
