PC AND HERNIA'S

Almost exactly a year ago, I had my RRP. Tomorrow I am in surgery for an inguinal hernia.

After your surgery, your Doctor will tell you not to lift anything heavier than a half gallon of milk.

Two weeks after my surgery, I helped a "Little" with moving from one house to another.

I highly recommend you not lift anything heavier than a TV remote or a glass of wine.

Boy hey howdy. You are so right.  Around a year ago also I talked to a few fellows and they echoed the same thing about the lifting especially with the DaVinci.  I guess the open is so obvious because of light pain lasting longer and incision you feel and see but the robotic you just forget you have these wholes in you where bad stuff can pop out from.

Doc told me 6 weeks,  wive thought she heard six years, works for me.  We'll see how far I can stretch this.... I never would have guessed that she was strong enough to hitch my fishin boat to the truck all by herself.  God I love that woman.

Another thing to be on the lookout for is an incisional hernia. My robotic prostatectomy was in Oct '06, but I just developed a hernia beneath one of the scars. :(
