I had 2 Urologists recommend this procedure to solve my stress incontinence. The Urologist that did my surgery and a Urologist from RUSH University Medical Center in Chicago. As I understand it this is soft tissue bulking agent that adds volume to the tissue surrounding the urethra. Recently I had a Urologist at the Northwestern Medical Center in Chicago tell me not to do this procedure as it could worsen my condition. I'm about
24 weeks out from my surgery and I still leak when standing or moving around. I am able to stop my stream while standing when I urinate and my Urologist said that means the external sphincter is working. " It takes time, be patient." Thats easy for him to say. I'm just tired of being wet and using 2 or 3 pads a day and up to 4 if I drink a lot. I'm looking for options on what the next steps would be and I thought this would be a next step before the Male Sling or AUS if things don't heal. Has this procedure worked for anyone? Thanks for any help or suggestions you can give me.
