Hi All,
Well here is another new tale not sure if anyone has had this one. Drove 3 hours and waited for 4 hours to see the doctor the waiting room was packed with people from all over the country and some even out of the country all with Prostate Cancer and all looking to have surgery. When I finally got in to see the surgeon he said the burning I am feeling is not a stone but a calcium buildup that is attached to a clip from the surgery. He said the body should eventually reject the clip and I may pass it in my urine or if it comes out far enough they will try to go in with the cystascope and try to grab it. He said they could do it now but since it is embedded in the urthra taking it out would leave a hole and then I would be leaking. He said if I could tolerate the burning it is better to wait. I have decided to wait and go back in 3 months to see if it is gone or if it is far enough out to grab without leaving a hole.
The Doctor was very encourageing about my prognoises he said even though my score is now an 8 I had a very small tumor and it was contain and margins and lymph nodes clear. He said it is not unusal to have a slight bump to 0.1 but they still consider that undetectable and would not even consider doing radiation at this time. He said he has a lot of patients that went to 0.1 even 0.2 and have stayed there for years. Not sure if he is right but I sure liked what he said.
