Slow down Barry....be sure to look at all sides first. While every treatment has side effects...just like surgery did...the chances of having severe side effects are on the lower side of the statistics. While quality of life is an issue for all of us, don't let those that had adverse side effects govern your decision on what you do with your own health.
Dying from cancer is not a situation you want to be in. If you have a shot at a cure or remission, even at a risk of adverse side effects...would you take it? I am not in your shoes, but most folks that I know, would rather avoid the unpleasant effects of advanced end stage cancer.
Just look at both sides and then come to your own conclusions and make your own decision that best fits your situation.
