Being the ever impatient engineering type I am when it comes to getting any kind of test results from any kind of test, I phoned my surgeon's office today looking for the results from blood drawn last week. I couldn't wait until the end of August appointment with him to find out. 

Undetectable, less than 0.10. That makes my day, today. And, I'm hoping for the same in 3 months, 6 months and so on.

Today is a good day for me. I wish the same for all of you.

Doesn't mean a cure, but a good result. I guess I was bit more stressed about it than I thought I was.

PS: My wife and one daughter just came home. All my kids will be here this weekend, too. What more can someone ask for?

Congrats, I had my 6 week post op in July with similar results which I posted. It is a relief. Now comes decisions on radiology.
Good luck in the future, lets hope it stays that low.

Congratulation and a big hug from your friend and fellow PC brother That is great news. I sure hope you and the misses go out and celebrate your admitance into the zero clug on all of our behalfs. May many more follow this one. So happy for you.

Mike how long after your operation did you have your first PSA is it different for open against Robotic surgery only I had my operation over 2 weeks ago and I am not due to have my PSA checked for another 3 months from today but I see most people on here have theirs after 6 weeks

The good thing in my hospital is you get an appointment with the doctor but you go 2hrs earlier have your bloods done see the doctor 2hrs later and get the results no waiting

Forgot to add that I am one of those engineering impatient type

Oh Mike, do I identify with this one.

Next week, seven out from surgery, I'll find out when I go for my first PSA and I'm already quaking.

Colin, my blood was drawn 3 months to the day after my open RP. I think it depends more on the surgeon than the procedure as to how long until 1st PSA test. I don't like the waiting either.

It seems like my doctor does it 3 months after his final appointment after the operation I could always get a test done somewhere else but he seems to of treated me good so I guess that I will be patient

My doctor set my appointment for 7 weeks after surgery for a follow up and PSA. I asked him how long for the PSA to drop after surgery and was told 2 weeks or so.

Mine was 3 months, then 3 months for the first year, then 6 months this second year. Going to 9 months next time, then if clear, once a year after Feb. (@32 months)
