Night B4 the Big Trip- Is It A Bad Omen?

So here I am packing and getting ready to go. I keep checking the forum for the latest updates from Worried guy and Geezer99 to see the latest developments in the struggles of the hapless with the NASCAR method of changing pads.

Like most of you I have been laughing to the point of tears for days on this one. Like most of you guys have, I also think, hope that's not me after my surgery.

Well now I am not so sure.

Mom wife announced loudly a little while ago that 'THE KITHCHEN SINK HAS SPRUNG A LEAK".

Sure enough, I interrupt my packing to see that the sink has certainly sprung a leak all over the place. So tear everything out from under the sink, dry out the space, crawl under and can't find where it's coming from.

Finally the drops begin to appear. The HOSE connecting the faucet to the sprayer appears to have a pin hole in it. Little drops but they are consistent. Soon the pan I have placed under the HOSE has a good amount of water in it.

It's too late to go to home depot, I don't have a spare and the design won't let me just disconnect it.

What can I do. Just tell her I have shut the water off and to call the neighbor plumber in the morning.

I was calm the night before my trip. I was in a place of peace and serenity. I was confident and comfortable with my decisions and plans. I was confident in the outcomes.

Now the sink has placed doubt and fear in me about the incontinence issues. I swear when I get back, good or bad, I am selling this house for destroying my calm tranquility.

Brother Sonny, don't like a silly sink leak break the peace and calm you were starting to have. Not apples to apples here. In the next 48 hours, your feelings and emotions will go back and forth like the proverbial yo yo, but in your heart of heart, you know you are doing the right thing for you. Plus, you have this group of goons back here (myself a goon too!) all rooting for you, praying for you, and just waiting for you to come to in the recovery room and get to the other side. So keep yourself busy, and if some of us clowns amuse you, laugh.

Sometimes there can be humor in the darkest moments, I think we try to find it here too. Yeah, there's a lot of serious stuff going on here, but in our daily lives, there are funny moments. THink that's the way it's meant to be.

Get some rest brother, you got a flight ahead of you. On surgery day, everything will take place like a row of dominoes lined up, and before you know it, it will be over.

Hang in there. The leak was a diversion from thinking about the surgery! hope all goes well and report back to us as soon as you can. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Thankfully the house had no more surprises for me this morning. Maybe it got wind of my thoughts about selling it.

So I'm leaving for the airport before it changes it's mind.

I suppose that you will have wait awhile to read this, but you need to do more study in the science of predicting the future.
For example in interpreting dreams, images are not what they seem at first: If you dream that you are flying, it actually means that you are going to be having a lot of sex. Dreaming that you are digging a hole means that you will get a big promotion at work.

Karl Jung, in his classic but little read book “A Study on the Interpretation of Plumbing” tells us that persistent leaks, especially in a hidden or confined space, should be interpreted as an omen that you will soon get rich. The leaking water represents money flowing into you wallet. Money that you will, of course, want to share with your friends.

So when you get home from surgery and find that big check waiting in your mailbox, you know who your friends are…

On the other hand,
When an actor takes the stage "break a leg" is a good luck message...

Best wishes. Just think positive and be ready what's the outcome. Every patient is different. As you have already read from this forum, some are luckier than others as far as being continent. I for one still using one pad a day.
