M Kat and others: Thanks for all the information. I will try Levitra next. I started with Viagra, but my urologist prefers Cialis, so I switched to that. Viagra worked faster for me, but Cialis didn't give me the stuffy nose. Stuffy nose is really NOT an issue for me. I don't have any other side effects. Urologist thinks Cialis keeps the nerves and penile tissue suffused with blood better than Viagra.
I've used Viagra on an empty stomach, just don't jump out of bed afterwards.
I will try the Levitra next. I hadn't considered it until I saw the posts. All Day Chemist is also considerably cheaper than the other Indian pharmacy I was using, so that's a plus too. Thank you.
I have a "useable" erection, but useable depends on who is doing the defining. My wife really likes the pump, and I think this is creating some psychological issues for me: performance anxiety, and a subsequent lack of focus on the matter immediately at hand (so to speak). I have no problem maintaining a very rigid erection when it's my turn, hence I suspect the problem might be in my head.
I'd really like to get past the pump, but at 6 months post-op I'm not complaining. Bob D is my hero. I printed his post out in large type and put it on my office wall.
This is just another thing you have to work at -and do the necessary research for the right solution. Life was much simpler before PC.
I'm going to hit my GP up for some Xanax in June to try to get past the anxiety "What? Me Worry? Who cares if it's hard???" I was going to try the Trimix, but I think that might be premature. I might create another monster. I'm going to have my T checked again - a high testosterone level definitely helps.
Patience is not one of my virtues.
