Are you diagnosed with PCa, or are you using finasteride for preventitive purposes?

Goat,

I used finasteride for many years. I did not have any side affects but quit using it because it did not help the BPH.

Finasteride (also known as Proscar) was originally developed to treat BPH. Researchers later discovered that it also promoted hair growth for some men. Some of the latest studies suggest it might help prevent PCa. For me, finasteride did none of the above.
