Hi Alfred,
Clearly there is not enough data to make a solid decision. I'd like to see 200 results. We have 44 at 3 month and 27 at 1 year. Even though the sample is still small, I have been tracking the results as the number of samples grew and the ratios have been surprisingly consistent.
(To be honest this is a lot more info than I had when I made my decision to go Robotic. I had no incontinence or ED statistics - only the disclaimer warning that it might be possible. I never did see a real comparison with real data. )
You know me, I'd like to see everyone measure their pee pads but some folks might have trouble doing that (or have a life). Also, the poll feature does not allow for more variables so this was the best I could do.
The results seem to match the anecdotal comments and also match the info guys put in their signatures so I am reasonably confident we are not being scammed by someone with an agenda.
Agreed, we do not know the pathologies but hopefully that should average out.
I did find an interesting trend. I had heard that Robotics are at 85% of all surgeries today. The 3 month survey show Robotic to be at 66% and the one year at 55%. Clearly Robotic is growing quickly.
And here's another telling statistic for HW site folks: 61.4% of the responders were from guys that had surgery at least 1 year ago. That shows you how many stick around after the surgery and continue to find the site useful. You must be doing something right.
I hope you can see this summary info:

I case you can't see it here is the summary at 3 months (44 responses) 34% of Robotic vs 13% of
open were still wearing pads. At one year (27 responses) 20% of Robotics and 0% of
open were wearing pads.
Keep that data coming.
Jeff
