Hi Afterglo,
First of all, take a deep breath and try not to worry, at least yet. I know, easy to say, but hard to do. You have time, according to many who post in this forum, to research treatment options and to educate yourselves about the disease that I have also.
Many others on this forum will respond with much better info than I. They may also ask for more specific info about the biopsies.
I was dx'd Dec. 2007, had seeds implanted Jan. 18, 2008. Saw the radiation oncologist a week or two before the implants which were done by him and my urologist. So, for me, I was treated rather quickly. I don't think I would have chosen any other treatment - maybe cyber knife or cryo if they were mentioned, because I was 68 when dx'd. Didn't want major surgery for sure.
For the record, my PSA was 8.4 or 8.6. Gleason 3+3=6. T2, not sure if a,b, or c. I am doing just fine now on hormone therapy after the seeds failed.
So, please try not to worry and have a GREAT Thanksgiving!
