Sonny - IMRT #3- We got er dun

No machine problems today. 14 mins again. One trip through for the CT Scan and 1 trip for the Rad. My wife was in and out in 5 mins, no kidding, 5 mins. Worked for me, I let her go pick up the records copies that we wanted for her and me.

They asked if I would like to come in Saturday to get the make-up from yesterday. Told them yes, let's keep on schedule. Yesterday I met with the doc and when I mentioned that Christmas and New Years being on Friday would push me into another week, he said that we could double up on a couple of days and git er dun in the 7 weeks.

I am to talk to him about that when we get together next Thursday. If we are going to do that I think it would be best in the first couple of weeks as opposed to waiting towards the end.

Any body have any ideas about this?

So far it's beginning to look like SSDD. Same Stuff Different Day. I sure hope that all 35 of the treatments go like these first few. Not realistic I know, as time goes on the body is bound to show it's dislike for this stuff, but we can hope can't we.

It's still "Every Day is a Bonus" for me.

And how are you, your husband and the little one doing? I have seen you post in reply a number of times but I don't recall seeing any updates on your husband. If they are there, I just missed them and I am sorry for that.

Sonny, your rad clinic is way more efficient than what I went through, but then we were on two entirely different machines and protocal.
Glad you got it done today. Our clinic isnt open on weekends, so there would never be a Saturday make up. Also, you mentioned two in one day? Just based on my experience, that would be pushing a lot.

You are doing great, hope you continue to. But for the average person, the toxcity build up takes a good couple to three weeks, so while you feel great now, just don't be disapointed if you start feeling it later. Not trying to jinx you, just being honest.

Was also glad that Lynn is doing well with hers too.

Just like I did, you are knocking it off a chip at the time.

Tommorow will be one week since my 39th and final zap was over. I basically feel as weak and sore as I did last week, the only difference is no more of that searing burning pain through my SP cath. I can tell its getting near time to change out the cath for a fresh one ,as the number of spasms has been increasing both in quantity and severity. My poor bladder is the real victim here, lol.

Glad to hear that the Tomo machine is doing well for you. I hope the rest of the sessions will follow the same pattern. Keep us posted.
