Have been reading many posts in last few weeks. Very helpful and encouraging. Thanks!
I'm now 2 years out from IMRT and hormone treatments for advanced, aggressive PC. All PSA checks have been close to undetectable. I'll post details later when I can dig up all the info.
Unfortunately neither the urologist or radiologist talked about post treatment erectile problems. In the last two months I've briefly tried max doses of Levitra and Cialis giving only about 50% erection. Now using max dose of Edex giving about 70% erection. Getting closer, but no gold ring yet. These tries were with the urologist.
I see my geriatric GP tomorrow (I'm 72) to discuss his experience with ED and the possibility of starting a combined treatment with oral med and Trimix. I'm also scheduled on Wednesday to see urologist for prescription for the "pump" to try to recover some loss from the long delay in starting treatments for ED.
I know biker90 uses Viagra with his injections. I searched but have'nt found any info on using daily Cialis with injections. I would really appreciate any insights on the possible efficacy of daily Cialis vs "on demand" Cialis, Levitra, Viagra.
I've also started daily dose of L-arginine to help.

Hi from Idaho. I am currently using Bimix ( a little different cocktail than most use), but my Uro. Doctor has encouraged me to use Cialis in conjunction with the injectable. When I saw him in clinic this past week he expressed that he wanted me to use Cialis (low dose) daily, and then at least one night per week to use a full dose, (20 mg). I am supposed to take the 20 mg about 2-3 hrs. before sex, and then inject when the time is right. He explains that he wants the Cialis to work in concert with the Bimix to enhance erectile function, and to hopefully lower the dosage over time of the Bimix. In addition, he has me using the pump daily to reduce the chance of tissue fibrosis that can occur after surgery. All of these are attempts to rehab. for ED. He also explained that my persistant ED is neurogenic, despite him having preserved all nerve bundles during the surgery. I thought that my ED issues were vascular in origin, but he feels otherwise. I have tried ArginMax, but have not noted any significant improvement with my ED while taking it. And, have discovered that taking L-Arginine while taking Coumadin can be risky for brain bleeding.

Hi Navyman,

Note that the daily Cialis is only 5mg and is not likely to be that effective. I was told an every other day dosage of 10mg would be more beneficial for blood flow but not for intercourse, the full 20mg dose was required for intercourse.

I use the Trimix shots, approx 3x, sometimes 4x a week (100% success rate) , and there is no need for any oral drugs. I did try each of the 3 drugs (Cialis 20mg, Levitra 20mg and Viagra 50mg) just to see what happened and all it really did was increase my erection with Trimix from 1.5 to 2 hours. Hardly worth the side effects that each caused so I shelved the oral drugs now and only use the Trimix.

I guess with the ed drugs I may be able to reduce the amount of Trimix, but its really not a great benefit

Hi Mr G.,

Big 3 Oral drugs haven't worked for me. Trimix has...nothing yet for penetration. I believe once the dose is right, I'll be fine.

One important after note. After 1st Timix, I went up about 30%...and the next day, even better, without injection. My ED doc said very often Trimix gets things kick-started and there are lots of patients who do a run of Trimix and are drug-free and capable after.

There's always hope in that dept.

I think the big risk to Cialis or any other drug and trimix is the chance of priapism. I would start with a very low dose of trimix and work my way up.
