Inspired by the HT top 10 here's my top 5 list for incontinence.

#5 Your wife always leaves the seat up when she's done.
#4 No one complains when you pee in the shower.
#3 A just changed, rolled up pee pad feels warm on cold winter nights.
#2 You can talk with your mother-in-law and pee at the same time.
#1 With the right jeans and a full guard, you look like you're hung like a horse.


There is always room for more.

Excellent. I never had to deal with that but when my prostatee shrunk and I started sleeping well I had a dream I was peeing in the river and I was actually peeing. I guess not having to GET UP to pee at night might be one. lol

Your #1 was pretty choice, the few times I wore a depends guard, and I am not particully tall, I looked like I was packing heat. Only an illusion, trust me. Good list.

#6. You have a great excuse for dodging any boring social event
#7 You have a perfectly logical and sane reason for being neurotic and obsessed.

#8 For animal lovers you become a magnet for all crotch-smelling dogs.

#9 You don't have to do good deeds to get that warm feeling inside.

#10 You end up with glutes of steel like Arnold Swartzennegger from all the Kegels.

There is no way that I can spend a weekend camping with the Boy Scouts.  The plumbing system just isn't up to it yet.

Had DaVinci surgery 12-1-09. 59 years old
everything good except the bladder control, and oh what fun
was sure there was a good chat room out there for PC and this looks like a good sight

The list keep getting longer. Having a good excuse to get out of camping with the scouts, or attending boring events. Not needing to get out of bed to pee. etc... Great!
I might have to make it a top 20 list. Pretty soon, the dry guys will be wishing they were leakers!

Pull up a chair. There's plenty of room at the table. Can I buy you a drink? Oh wait! Never mind. I forgot you are IC. Well, you can always enjoy a bag of pretzels and a small glass of water.

You found a great site. There is a lot of good information out here from well informed folks who have been down the same road you now travel. Stick around. I'm sure it will help you on your journey.

Hey Todd,
I lurked for about 2 months to convince myself I was heading down the right path. I joined July 2009. My first post was in the middle of the night, a couple of days after my surgery. I was having a particularly bad night and was confused and unhappy about my situation. Several of the guys here jumped right in and pulled me out before I could fall into the abyss. Their helpful responses left me in tears (happy and sad).
Now it is my turn. Quid Pro Quo.
And I still learn something new every day.

hey Jeff,
every once in a while it seems I just have to drink all I want.
I love assorted dances to the head trying to hold it in. Of which none work well.
then its back to holding fluids.
am going back to work 1-15-10, 12 hour shift 6pm to 6am.
will be interesting to see how that works out.
in the meantime may put my 401k into depends products

The crazy thing is, Jeff is JUST like this in real life as well. He is one of those guys in whose presence life is just a lot of fun. I hope when he plans his next stag weekend of us, that MANY of you come. It was a blast.
