Hey Mel, we're sure going to miss you around here, although, as I'm sure you'll remember, that your resignation prior to several years of zero reports automatically triggers a $100,000 cash payment to be divided amongst each poster who has ever been on a thread with you. This will mitigate some of our genuine disappointment. However, as you have made, to date, something like near 300 posts, all of which seem to have generated considerable feedback, best I can tell each of us will get $5. (I'm sure David will check the math on this.) So our sadness in your resignaiton is more muted than it might have been had you not decided to give David a run on being our most loyal member.

Under the circumstances I called a meeting of the Committee of The Honorable Order of Gentlemen of the Droopy Dribbling Rod, and after much debate, several rum and cokes (charged to your account) it was decided that your resignation had to be refused. The prospect of dealing with HW without your charming presence on top of the stress of dealing with PCa was just too much for us to contemplate. So, sorry, you're stuck with us.

The whole Committee joins in wishing you well on Tuesday. If you're first up on the slate, we'll expect a report by 5 p.m.

Drop in once in a while a let us know how you are doing. You can't really resign, you owe it to HW to come back and present the stories of your journey to those that follow. That is why all of us still post, for guys like you. It's like passing the torch that can never be allowed to go out.

You can't resign. The internet is forever. You can change your membership category. Look forward to the "No Drops" award when they pull the catheter. I know they've got an extra, since I didn't get one.
