Update

Still on HT while trying to figure out what I want to do. Last visit to Dr., PSA was down to 0.031 which the dr. said was good. Talked about just staying on HT for the end of time. I mention that I had read that HT is only good for 3 and one half years. Dr. said you just stop HT for awhile and then resume at a later interval. Surgery is not an option for me unless something changes. Not sure why, just a feeling I have. Will discuss radiation with the Dr. next visit in April. May be the route to go. Dr. explain about the sore rectum somewhat, but said they have a newer machine where the side effects are not as bad. Of course, I happened across some bad stories about radiation while reading here, but really can't worry about them. t is still kicking my butt throughout the day, so not sure how long I want to keep putting the stuff in my body.

Age 67. Was having prostate problems. PSA's had risen to 14, I was told. Was scheduled for robotic surgery, but had chest pain the night before. Canceled surgery and started hormone therapy. PSA was about 6 then. Bio showed two incidents of cancer. Bone scan was ok. Dr. believe the cancer was caught early. 30 days after first shot and Casodex, PSA was 0.5 or there abouts.
