I agree with Ed. I think it also depends what kind of tolerance you have to pain also. I truly had no pain after my surgery 1/6/10 and up to the present time!

Had surgery 1/6/10 Roboticly. catheter out 1/19/10 down to 1 or 2 pads per day basically dry at night. Nothing with ED yet.
Feb 11th will be first psa test post surgery

With all due respect, I disagree with #2...my husband is a huge baby when it comes to pain. That was his biggest fear with his surgery (mine was what the path report would tell us!). He had absolutely no pain after surgery. The morphine line, which was installed shortly before the operation, was never used and was removed about 10 hours after the surgery. Husband never even took Tylenol in the hospital.

I say until a guy undergoes a prostatectomy, he is missing a key plank of manhood. (Or having a key plank removed)

T-Dog, your list verifies my opinion. I think I learned so much from this experience, that at times I am actually thankful. ( I know .... weird)

I know for sure that #6 has been verified many times over !
