Nerve damage after Salvage IMRT

I was starting to regain natural erections about 16 months post RP.  I had 37 IMRT treatments ending in July 2009.  Since then, I have been only able to obtain a quality erection using Bi-mix.  The rad doc said about 70% of men can still attain erections with viagra after these treatments.  He didn't comment on whether it will improve over time.  Any salvage rad guys out there with advice?

Boot,

I am about to pass the two year mark on my salvage radiation.  I had no issues with ED after the surgery and my radiologist felt I would not have any trouble after the radiation.  I think my age and current function at the time is what drove that statement from him. 

With that said I did experience some issues about 1 year out but things seem to have returned to pre radiation status over the past few months.  I have read that the two year mark is the best toll gate on ED status as the radiation continues to work for that period and your body will fully recover over that period.

Hopefully you will see improvement soon.

I asked my Rad Doc about what damage would be done, he stated that it's not much the nerves but the blood vessels that are affected by the tx. I was starting to get better in the ed dept but rad sent me back to square one.

i am only 3 months post SRT, and so far, not that I get many ops with a cath still in place, the radiation had no effects on my errections. had no ED before SRT, and still none post. i realize that good fortune may come to an end at some point in the future due to the radiation
