My Friends,

Your outpouring of support meant so much to my wife yesterday. She read with tears the love and support that came from each of you. What had started as a pretty dreadful day ended with her going to bed with the warmth and comfort of your never ending prayers and blessings.

Thank you for updating us on Lynn, she is just as much a part of the brotherhood as the rest of us.  I am wondering about the fractures. . .are they just "on paper" or do they keep her from sitting up, standing, walking?  Maybe you have posted this before and I missed it.  Just wondering what your everyday life is like.

Since the two of you are so great at staying positive and have a great support system, I will focus my prayers on endurance, comfort and wisdom, and even splashes of joy!

The fractures are PAIN. She lives with it daily. They don't keep her from sitting and walking at this point, but everything is done with much more care. It is only recently that the newest of the fractures have really started to weigh heavily on her and affect the way she lives from day to day.

She has been on pain meds since her diagnosis in Nov 09 and functioning well. As of late she has had to rely more on the additional break-through meds and that too weighs on her mind.

In the somewhat emotional state she was in yesterday she said, "I just want the pain to stop for a while". This is a really telling statement from her given her extremely high tolerance to pain that she has shown throughout her life.

We really hope that the upcoming visit with the new doc and his plan to treat her will afford her some much deserved comfort.

Thanks for the update. Yes, I know how fortunate the both of you are to have each other to help/cope with all the issues you are going through. You are right when you say each day is a bonus. I think that goes for all of us.

Sonny, my wife the nurse wanted to know this: On an average day, using the standard pain chart of 1-10, where does Lynn spend most of her time with pain? Is she already on high levels of pain meds, or are still holding the "big guns" for when needed later? Pain management, as I know you know, is so critical at this stage in her illness.

If you need anything, just ask. Always on stand by for you and Lynn.
