HOLY MACAROON!!!!!! folks this deal hurts, much worse than robot but had to do it. Took about 40 minutes, really got the shoulder blade pain this time. Oh well, onward! Tim

onward and upward. The pain should ease, the belly should heal and life contnues, hopefully with more function and less painful. Congrats on completing it..

good luck on your upcoming surgery on monday, hope it goes smooth for you, and you dont have to deal with a lot of pain.

Tim, sorry to hear that it's hurting --- get on those pain meds! But, glad to hear it's history and from here on it's just a case of a few days to mend.

thanks guys, did get the mesh and staples as far as i know. really the worst is the gas pain in the shoulders, i didnt get that last time but this is terrible, any advise to help get rid of it? thanks tim

Was you hernia in the belly or groin? Mine was in the belly. I was a smoker before and after surgery. One little bitty little smokers cough would all but bring me to tears the few several days after surgeryidea  But it does get better.

I have a real hard thinking about a few guys here that did both surgeries the same day => OUCH.

Hey Tim,

Wait til your first BM ! Yikes! I rolled up a towel and shoved it against my abdomen. It helped a lot.

Oh, regarding that gas pain in your shoulders, I understand there is a new robotic surgical procedure that will help with that.

Well, I was in the OR by 8:10, home by 11:15. Piece of cake. Some pain for sure, but I'd do forty of these before another RRP!
A hundred forty maybe.

Right on zoot, glad it went well. Mine was in my groin on the right side, still really tender but improving, watch the bm`s they`ll get your attention!
