Called my uro's office this morning, ready to face my fate one way or the other. The first post SRT PSA reading was .12, the latest one was .04. I had the nurse read it back to me 3x to convince me I wasn't misunderstanding it.
Gentlemen, and ladies, that means I am entitled to get back in the zero club. A .04 is lower than I ever had even right after surgery. My uro considers this, at least at this point in time, as remission. He still wants to check every 3 months for the next year out from now, to make sure its not going to throw a curve.
Perhaps all these months of pains/etc since my radiation ended, the radiation was still doing its job of killing off stray cells. While I know this is no guarantee that there won't be future reccurance, it looks on the surface that the remaining cancer cells very well may have been limited to the prostate bed. For that, I am thankful. I was 90% willing to bet that it was going to go up this time, boy, I am glad to be wrong.
So if I could get this chronic stricture issue fixed, and get some strength back, I could almost be human again.
