David, WONDERFUL NEWS!!!

I am at work - and despite the policy about logging on to "chat" sites - I had to log in and congratulate you.  I called John at work and told him the good news - he is so very pleased.

I've been on pins and needles waiting for your news - thank God you finally got a break.

David, great news. Hope you can get rid of the stricture problem in the near future also. You have suffered enough. Squid.

David, I do not post very often, but I have been following your journey and I feel that this good news will do you the world of good. I can only wish you all the very best for the future. Best wishes from England.

David ...excellent news. I am very glad to hear things are going down for you (psa that is) and that everything else is going up. Yours has been a very remarkable journey. Some day I would like to see a compilation of your journey posted or written somewhere. It would give some insight of courage, wisdom and perseverance for anyone or their loved ones that has had to face this disease.

I will celebrate your re-entry into the zero club. I am sure that Dale is going to waive the membership dues and gladly give you a lifetime membership from this point forward.

For all my dear friends, brothers and sisters above this post, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. The news and what it means is still sinking in my head throughout this day. People I have told locally are equally amazed and glad. Perhaps my radiation oncologist was dead on right by slamming with a mega dose of IMRT in such a confined area. It may have caused the collateral damage I am still dealing with, but I had said all along, that if it finishes off the cancer, then it will have been worth all I have been through. That's my current feeling about the matter.

Hopefully, given some more time, and healing, I will be able to have a cure for the chronic stricture issue, but even if I don't get that, and end up with some kind of perm. other solution, it will still be worth it not to have PCa take me out. It may be the price I had to pay to live, and I can handle that.

I see my uro in about 3 weeks or less, and we will strategize again what to do next with the strictures. I am still in favor of having a few more months (2-3) of pure healing time, before we see if at least the SP cath can be eliminated. That is one expensive hole in my bladder, all kidding aside (15K USD), and I don't want to have it gone and closed up until I can certain that I don't need it.

But thanks again, I have had so often only bad news to report here on myself, so it was special to be able to give some powerfully good news today to share. To our new brothers in PC, never give up hope. Keep on keeping on, one day at the time.
