My RALP was April 7, 2010.  That is 8 weeks ago tomorrow.  I have been pad free around the house for nearly 2 weeks.  But today, I am at my office with NO PAD.  Actually, I forgot to put one in as I dressed I am so used to not having it.  LOL.  I am fortunate that the urinary control issues were short lived for me.   I hope all of you have similar success with your chosen treatment.  On the ED front, Mr Happy responds to Vitamin L and doctor thinks, in time, I will not need any ED drugs.   yeah Time will tell.

 

Since Memorial Day just passed let me say, God Bless America and God Bless our fallen heroes.  Thank you to all who serve and have served in our armed forces.

Congrats to you Ricky. I had my cath removed this afternoon and got to try on the first diaper that I can remember. I sure hope that I am out of these things as quickly as you.

Well done Rick,

A forgetful mind can be a wonderful thing.  Be sure to get rid of the unused pads before they collect a lot of dust.  Now, keep healing,

Rick, good for you. This is the way it's suppose to be.

If you need a tad more protection, but don't really need a pad, just put on a second pair of underpants.

My curve predicts continence on October 20, 2010.

It did follow the logarithmic curve for the most part. In the end, the last few measurements continued to "group" just above the logarithmic curve. Had I continued to measure and plot I am confident the curve would have adjusted to a "dry" date slightly farther out. However, in the last week or two, the weight of the "wet" pad indicated a leak rate of 0.20 ml/hour. At that very low rate it imples a drop or two onto the undies as the day progresses. So I went for it. Without the pad I found I was much more motivated to "keep dry" by kegleing more at times when I would expect a leak and visit the bathroom if I felt any need. That did the trick and pushed me over the top. Of course, I first experimented with this at home before venturing out.

I like your idea of experimented when the level get down to 0.2ml / hour. That pushed you over the top.
I am still in the 10 ml/hour range - certainly too much to try going without unless I am bottomless and shoeless in the backyard.
Maybe I'll reach that level in early October but by then it will be a bit chilly out.

Not a pretty picture is it? While I could get away with it, I just can't imagine myself working in the garden, cutting the grass, pruning the apple trees, with my bits bobbing. The thought of catching a sagging sack on something gives me the willies.
