I am retired military using Tricare for Life and Express scripts, mail order pharmacy. I recently started Tri-mix and paid dearly for 5cc vial through my doctor. How did you connect to get Tri-mix at the standard $9:00 copay with Express scripts or pharmacy. Also, how did you connect to get it free from VA. I am a very savvy veteran and know the system well, but these connections eludes me. Can you help?

Any of you ex-military or retired types got any fresh info for him?

I simply took my script to the pharmacy and they cleared it through Tricare before dispensing my Trimix. I didn't have to do anything special.

As far as free from the VA, in my case I'm awaiting the Agent Orange disability letter for ED. Had my evaluation about 2 weeks ago. If approved (which it should be) then scripts for both oral meds and Trimix/Bimix would be free along with the monthly disability payment for ED. I'm not sure how it would work without the disability ruling.


I submitted my claim for Pca and ED in January, received disability payments for Pca in May. Had to have the VA evaluation completed before ED approval. Overall the processing time for my claim was alot less than I had expected.
