If anyone knows of doctors in the Chicago area that I could consult with I'd appreciate the input. Ideally they'd have experience with someone younger such as myself.
Hi!
Chicago has excellent medical facilities, as you probably already know. There, in fact, are two Comprehensive Cancer Centers (CCC) here:
o The Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at Northwestern University (Chicago, IL)
o University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center (Chicago, IL)
Check out the National Cancer Institute list here: http://cancercenters.cancer.gov/cancer_centers/cancer-centers-list.html
Dr Catalona, previously mentioned, is at Northwestern University; but, note that he performs only open prostatectomy procedures. While in my late 40's, I went to the University of Chicago where I eventually had a robotic prostatectomy.
Let me know if you want more info. Hope this helps...
