just a follow up on this, in our case Fairwind was right. The "insignificant" cancer that people here have though would benefit from active survellence turned out to be gleason 7 cancer post op - luckily it was 3+4 but still it's Gleason 7, and even luckier the margins were clear even though the cancer was in 7 different spots. The urologist made the comment that we should be really happy we took it out, it was completely the right decision.
Active survellence for the younger patient is a dangerous game and personally I do not think it's a good game to play.
