hello and welcome. You first question seems incomplete. Do you mean With prostate cancer, why would the base of the penis or back behind the bone pelvic bone have pain, maybe? I am sorry he is in pain and wonder what stage in his journey he is in. Has he had any treatments, biopsies or testing up to now to establish where he is in his staging? Without more info, I don't think anyone here can answer your question with any certainty..sorry. How about
posting back with more info about
his situation?
Ok, I see you posted the following back on 12/13/2009. Still would help if we knew he had had any further examinations by doctors or treatments. You got several resposnes then, which you never responded back to, for those who wish to answer her. Here's the link to the other post:

My husband has been diagnosed with prostrate cancer and he has chosen not to have any treatments done. My question is this: what is the end stage symptoms for prostrate? He is angry and scared which is understandable, but his mood swings are unpredictable. Any help or information I can obtain would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
