Hi, Steve,
From a previous post, I know you are recently bereaved. If you don't already belong to a support group, have you looked into any local PCa groups that might be available to you? Some of the people on this forum have reported help in dealing with the depression that can go along with diagnosis and treatment with medication. Did you ever get a new oncologist? You don't seem to be getting much direction from your current drs.
Re: cliinical trials,
here is another link more specifically for prostate cancer trials. I have read posts here and on other forums of men having success with these trials, so there is always hope. Abiraterone acetate for hormone-resistant Pca has shown a lot of promise in clinical trials, so much so that it is supposed to be made available to patients who meet certain criteria, beginning in October. There is also a discussion above relating to another trial that sounds as if it having some success, too.
So please stay encouraged that there are still avenues available to you. Wishing you the best of luck!
Best regards, Aprilsunny
