Hi guys an update on my dad's psa post radiation. Just to remind you guys and give you some background information. My dad's post op psa was a .55 in January 2010. He immediately began hormone therapy and did two months of radiation. After completing 40 sessions 72gy of radiation in June he was also given his last hormone injection, a 1 month depot of lupron.
He just checked his psa, 3 months after radiation and 3 months after a 1 month depot lupron and his psa came back at .07. I think I am happy, I hope I can be happy. His testosterone levels are back to normal, so I do believe that the lupron has worn off and that the radiation has worked. But I am not quite sure, do you guys still think this is not an accurate number since lupron could still be in his system??
Also an update on my dads pain, x-Rays came back COMPLETELY normal! Finally I feel like he has had a break from this, and I am so happy, I feel like he is a different person now :))))
Thank you guys for always being there and being so patient with me, it means alot!
Lynne
