I noticed "Graham", but that's also my urologist's name, which masked the artist's name in my brain. There is a resemblance, though, so maybe he's following in Alfred Hitchcock's footsteps.

Today we see the link, which indeed started with Pumpkin, to Melanie (daughter), then to every one of Melanie's Facebook friends, no doubt, but at least to Graham's daughter, thence Graham. Maybe Nora's daughter (remember everybody at Nora's Diner) is a sorority sister of Melanie. These days, the possibilities are endless.

No wonder Rose was looking so pale the other day. Or, 2 minutes ago in comic strip time.

Jeff, I'm sure there's a connection, but it takes lots and lots of study to be sure. smilewinkgrin

Update for 10/26

Graham, the patient/artist: "Rex, what is it? Was Sarah spreading a rumor?" (I have to get that kid off my phone data plan!)
Rex:I can't say Graham...Stu's my patient. But would you please call her and ask that she doesn't tell anyone else!" (Not that there is anyone on the planet left to tell!)
Graham: "No problem...I'll call her right now!" (And my attorney!)

Poor Stu. He's been betrayed by the three women closest to him: his wife, his daughter and now, sadly, Diane.
Who can blame him for seeking solace in the arms of the Thai triplets who have so well demonstrated they can keep a secret as well as manipulate their bodies.

(At least that's what is says in my paper.)

With that many followers, the Mayor can start an election fund raising event.

Yes! Stu's prostate now has it's very own "Pacebook" page (a pretty thin disguise, if you ask me), with over 2,000 "pacepals" already. Ooooh -- that domain name is available...

I'm jealous. My prostate doesn't have a page, let alone Facebook pals.

So, the mayor's prostate is really an alien from outer space that has taken over his mind. It created a Pacebook page without him knowing it. When he goes in for surgery--watch out, it's going to attack!

Update 10/29

(Rex talking to June, wearing her new underwire bra, and Becka)
Rex: "It was Rose who leaked Stu's diagnosis...She told Melanie Dalton!"
Becka: "Their daughter? Isn't she away at school?"
Rex: "Yes, but she called home while I was at their house the other night."
Rex: "Rose told her and Melanie promptly texted all her friends!"

I can't wait for Rex to tell Stu. Clearly, women cannot be trusted.

Will the Mayor sue the person who put together a Pacebook page that attracted 2000 friends in a matter of hours? Or will he hire the kid to be his campaign manager?
Time will tell.

10/31 Update

Rex, June, and Becka still kibitzing in his office. (How does this guy stay in business?)

June: "I wouldn't want to be Rose when Stu finds out what happened!" (She's already cleaned out the bank accounts.)
Rex: "The question is...WHO'S going to tell him?" (And another trusted soul betrays Stu.)

Meanwhile... Stu walks from his Mayoral office, a dark cloud overhead.
Diane: "...You've got a meeting with the city architect in ten minutes!"
Stu: "Reschedule it... I'll be back in about an hour! (As he dials 011-66-53-2PARTY for the Chiang Mai triplets - the only ones in Stu's world who have never betrayed his trust.)

Happy Halloween! May all your candy be caffeine free.

I'm hoping he's walking home and will find out the shocking news. But the way this strip meanders along, I think he'll go for a walk in the park. Hey, maybe he'll run into a Stop Prostate Cancer rally at the park. Will take the stage and make a public admission, to the cheering throngs.

Becka is Power Girl, but who is June's alter ego? Too small and hair is too short for Wonder Woman. Maybe Janet Pym.

Although today they're not looking as healthy as usual.

It's election day (11/2) and I was half expecting something related. But alas...
By now you are familiar with the 90:1 time dilation factor. But, these past two days have exceeded my expectations.

Yesterday, time stood still.
Diane: "Mr. Mayor the city architect is due here for a meeting in ten minutes."
Stu: "Make another appointment... ....back in one hour!"

Today, it actually moved backward.
Rex: "I have to speak with Rose first...We have to verify this!"

If this progression is indicative of Stu's PCa, even with a G-9, 12/12 hot biopsy, clearly Active Surveillance is his best treatment option. He's got at least 90 years before he even begins to have trouble peeing.

Jeff, you're absolutely right, it's Election Day! The mayor must be out voting!

Otherwise, if the Rex Morgan MD Election Day isn't for another month or so, then time will continue to move farther backward. Well, that could be good, maybe he's found a cure for cancer, old age, and everything else.

Finally 11/4 - The confession!

Rex: "Rose, It's Rex Morgan! We have to talk about..."
Rose: "I know why you're calling... I've been waiting!"
Rose: "I'm sorry, Rex. When Melanie called last night I was upset!"

Rex has been holding the phone in his hand since 10/31. It took him 4 days to dial 7 digits.
Just imagine how long a thorough DRE takes! No wonder Stu looks grumpy.

Yep. AS is clearly the best treatment option.

Even though Rose told Melanie--it was Melanie who blabbed to the world, right? Have we even seen Melanie? A college girl. Maybe the Linda Danvers type. Except she acts more like Veronica of Betty and Veronica.

I'm kind of hoping Melanie bears a striking resemblance to the (formerly) ever faithful Diane. It would explain Rose's green eyes seen on 10/20.

Update for 11/6 - Rex has been on the phone since 10/31. His right carpal tunnel symptoms have returned.

(Stu continues his walk to Chinappi's Firearms)
Shopkeeper: "The Ruger LCP is a very reliable unit with a light-weight, thin profile."
Stu: "My, this does fit the hand nicely! It disguises perfectly in my suit coat pocket!"
Shopkeeper: "Great! I'll start the instant Brady check now! It will be ready a year from now!"

No wonder Stu is procuring a weapon for self defense. There's going to be a shootout! I predict that the bullets will hang in the air for at least 3 days.

Diane: "He had that look he gets when he has a city council meeting!"
Rex: "And what look is that, Diane?"
Diane: "It's kind of scary... I call it his 'Junkyard Dog' look."

So now Rex, June, the (formerly) ever-faithful Diane, his wife Rose, and daughter Melanie are all talking behind Stu's back, while the City Architect waits patiently in his office.

(Meanwhile, Stu and Auggie the shopkeeper, are discussing the merits of a particular handgun.)
Stu: "I like the feel of the LCP in my hand. What is its capacity?"
Auggie: "Elsie Pea is double action only, chambered in 380 auto... It holds six plus one!
Stu: "That's perfect. I'll take it...and a box of Federal Hydra-Shok® JHP, please!"

(At least that's what it says in my paper.)

Stu turns out to be a Terminator from the future. Except for the metal skeletons, they are anatomically correct, including the prostate. Even able to father children. He has been in deep cover for several years. Rex Morgan is also from the future, in deep cover. He has recruited help from Becka (Power Girl) and the Wasp, Janet Pym, who is separated from Hank Pym, but even with their help, Stu will be a tough Terminator cookie to handle.
