Update for 11/8 - That 'Junkyard Dog' look.

(Rex talking to Diane while June, posed provocatively on her prostate possessing partner's desk, anticipates the predictable yet playful, pre-lunch private pelvic probing.)

Rex: "Diane, what is his 'Junkyard Dog' Look?"
Diane: "It's a mean look...dead serious... like he is going to pick a fight with someone, Dr. Morgan!"
Rex: "And who do you think that would be, Diane?"

(Meanwhile - Stu, walking alone on the street, collar turned up against the wind, right hand deep inside his jacket pocket.)
Stu: "The others have all betrayed me! Elsie Pea, you're my only friend now!"

(At least that's what it says in my paper.)

Update 11/09 - Panic Call

Diane and Rex on the phone, right hands seized from lack of movement for 10 days.
Diane (the mind-reader): "The Mayor thinks Jason King leaked his cancer diagnosis Dr. Morgan!"
Rex: "Do you think that's where he's headed?"
Diane: "I wouldn't be surprised one bit!"
Rex: "Thanks, Diane. I'll try him on his cell phone!"

(Meanwhile, Stu, frustrated, angry, disappointed, betrayed, and 400 feet closer to Jason King, quietly places Elsie Pea in his pants pocket where his Crackberry usually resides.)
Stu: "Jason King! The car dealer! Oh Elsie, suddenly it's all clear to me!"
Stu: "That wild night when Pumpkin, in the throes of passion, inexplicably blurted out "King Me! King Me!" should have been the sign! She had been so cold!"
Stu: "But not you Elsie. Your thin profile and perfect curves feel warm to my touch!"
Stu: "My prostate and you can be Pacebook friends forever!"

(At least that's what is says in my paper.)

I only want to be Facebook friends with Stu's prostate. I feel like that friendship will fill a gap in my life, or at least in my, er, personal zone.

Update for 11/10 - A Change of Heart?

(Rex finally releases the phone and picks up his cell to call Stu.)
June: "He's on his way to Jason King's office?"
Rex: "I don't know... Let's see if he answers his cell phone!"
_{June silkily slides off Rex's desk. There will be no pre-lunch private pelvic probes today!}

(Stu, on the street, 250 feet closer to Jason King. Horns blaring in the background.)
Guy on the street: "Hey, Mr. Mayor...You'll beat this! We're with you all the way!"
Stu: "Thanks. Uh...I'm with you, too!"

Stu's right hand slowly uncurls from Elsie Pea's warm curves and instinctively waves to the crowds.
Has he discovered a legal way to influence and win elections? One that does not require cash, job performance, blackmail or favoritism?
Would the planet be 1 degree cooler today if, in 2000, Al Gore simply stated his PSA was 10 rather than trying to discussing issues with the mindless masses?
He chuckles furtively and continues on his way, Elsie lightly nudging his soon to be damaged personal package with every step.

I discovered that if I check at 9 pm Pacific time, I get the next day's strip!

Stu tells Rex that he's on his way to Jason King's office.

Rex: "Jason King's office? Stu, don't..."
Stu: "Look, I have to call you back later! So long!" BEEP BEEP HONK!

Update for 11/14 - Hero Complex

Stu, angry at being outed, continues on his way to see Jason King, Elsie Pea hidden deep inside his pocket. Meanwhile Rex, surrounded by female pulchritude and still frustrated by the earlier interruption, reluctantly decides he must be a hero and get there first.

Rex: "Stu's an overbearing hothead...but he's a decent guy and a great mayor!"
June: "The mayor's on his way to Jason King's office to accuse him of leaking the diagnosis!"
Becka: "And you're going to stop him from ruining his political career! " (Sigh... My Hero!)
Rex: "That's the general idea. Can you drive me to save time?" (Her time's worthless!)
Becka, with a coquettish grin: "Absolutely! We'll be there in 5 minutes!" (At last! Away from June!)

Meanwhile, Stu lurks in the shadows outside Jason King's office, his right hand hidden."
Innocent Bystander: "Hey Mayor Dalton, don't worry, you'll kick this!"
Stu: "Thanks man...! Appreciate the support!"

As Rex and Becka head to the scene, Stu runs a mental tally: "Let's see... Jason, Pumpkin, Melanie, the bystander,... and me. That leaves 2, in case anyone suddenly shows up!"
Becka's car is filled with an electric tension. Is it Rex's fear of an impending lawsuit? Becka's overwhelming admiration for the man responsible for her financial well being? Or is it Rex's officus actionus interruptus testosterone suddenly releasing upon the realization that after all this time, he is finally alone with "the Rack"!

Guys,
Two people have asked me privately who "Elsie Pea" is. Hey! You have to keep up!
If you look back on 11/6 and 11/7, Stu was at the gun shop discussing the merits of certain handguns. The shopkeeper recommended the Ruger LCP (Light Carry Pistol). It is small and light and has a capacity of 6 rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber. He affectionately refers to it as "Elsie Pea". Get it? LCP?

Hey DJ,
If I had Terra and Power Girl working in my office, I'd never leave! Even without a prostate I'd be positively dessicated!

And, must not forget Mr. Terrific.

(I am on the road this week for work! Can you believe it? Update will be spotty But you can relax. Nothing much will happen in the strip. Stu will notice the great support from the unwashed masses and will have a change of heart. )

Becka will return from the 10 minute boondoggle with the boss, her blouse buttons askew while June placates the stood up patient. Jason and Pumpkin are deciding where to go on their vacation with the funds from the now closed Dalton bank account Diane, feeling guilty about betraying Stu, will make him an offer a man soon to be without a prostate can't refuse. It will take him two days to decide.

Today Rex is trying to get past Jason King's security ****s, and is about to prove he's a doctor. Tune in tomorow when we hear Rex ask, "Are you familiar with the DRE?"

Update for 11/19 - Another Innocent Bystander?

Stu, still angry at being outed, and having to drop his pants at the security checkpoint, speaks to Jason King's receptionist.

Stu: "Stu Dalton to see Mr. King! Is he in?
Receptionist: "Mayor Dalton...Do you have an appointment?"
Stu: "No! Can he see me? It's important!"
Receptionist: "Mr King's in a meeting! I'll tell him you're here!"

Meanwhile having just passed through security, Rex speaks to the TSA agent as he fastens his belt.

Rex: "Thank you! That was very professional and thorough."
TSA agent: "We try, Dr Morgan! I'm no expert in these matters but I believe the left side of your prostate was a bit firmer than the right."
Rex: "I'll be sure to have that checked! I don't want to end up surprised like Stu Dalton!"
TSA agent: "I warned him the last time he was here...a solid T2b! But he didn't listen! They never do!"
