I did DaVinci. Officially returned to work the next week, but it was only a few hours a day, remote via computer. I was not able to go into the office for quite a while, as I was completely incontinent, and could not sit for any length of time at a desk.
The doctor had told me to plan to return no sooner than 5-7 weeks, but that turned out to be grossly optimistic.
For driving, it was just at a month (a few days less) before I was cleared, and there is no way I could carry a briefcase and laptop, much less deal with a stick shift. I drove a stick for years, and even with a dislocated shoulder, so it is a "real" comparison.
I think that the problem would not so much be the arm movement of shifting, but using the clutch.
