sorry you have a nasty ache in your b*alls

This is the place where we don't get embarrassed: the place we talk about the strangest things of an intimate nature that we never told anyone about before PCa reared its ugly head in our lives.

When our b*lls ache we just ask if anyone else has had the same trouble and what they might have done to make it better.

I'm not sure any of us who have had it have really worked out why it happens other than that it's yet another sign that surgery messes up more things inside our bodies than you'd imagine. This is also a consequence to some extent of the robot just leaving small scars on the outside which means you almost forget that all kinds of stuff was cut up on the inside.

One thing that did get been snipped off was the pipe from the testicles to the prostate (The Vas Deferens) at the point where it met the prostate (a similar snip to a Vasectomy, but further up the pipe). I reckon that must surely be a source of some pain.

Also, have you stopped taking pain meds or reduced the amount you take as you are now 3 week on? Sometimes you may need something like a couple of Tylenol/Paracetamol per day for longer than you'd think.

A few us have also had some aches after orgasms, again this may be due to the plumbing trying to work out what it's meant to be doing with half of the bits now missing. It's great when you find you can get an erection, but don't over do it. Difficult I know given that massaging things makes it feel better both between the legs and inside your head

Things with me definitely hung lower and got in the way when I sat or moved my legs when sitting. Boxer shorts are just no good at this stage, things need to be tucked up nice and snug most of the time. It really does turn you into a guy who keeps adjusting himself too! And an extra small pillow between the knees at night can also help protect them if you tend to turn over a lot in bed.

However the main answer to your question from me is that as with any pain this soon after surgery you need to mention it to the doc, just to be safe as we are not medically qualified. I am sure they will say it is just normal and will get better in a few weeks, but if it doesn't get better you will have something to refer back to.

Rick, It as been over 2 years for me but I do remember that feeling so very well. My were so big after surgery. I called the Dr. He explained that it was lymphademia or excess lympth fluid. He recomenede to Ice them and have the legs raised. I proped up on a pillow and stayed still. They did go down and the pain went away. I must say it was the most pain of my surgery. I did have open surgery and so i can not comment about the pumcture spots.

Man you already have wood. Quit compaining. I would love to trade some pain for wood. :)

I went through three surgeries in two years; RP, then sling, then AUS. After all three I had scrotum swelling and tenderness and yes.....hung low. It took a good two to three months each time for the tenderness/soreness to subside. I am about three months after the AUS surgery where the bulb was implanted in the scrotum and it is just now to the point to where I have very little tenderness.

Sounds you are doing great otherwise. Don't be embarassed at all to bring things like this up. One of the list Mom's or was it Purgatory told me that many times the little things we go through are often the most helpful to some others. I was hesitant to post my one handed AUS activation technique but evidently it did create some interest.

Yes, if you have bumped into my earlier posts you may have seen that I share your dilemma...or I used to.


Bottom line: I started taking ALEVE (one pill first thing in the morning) and it made life bearable throughout my day. Funny thing is that doing this it seemed to help me heal faster.

Like the others who posted here, my testes became swollen and distended. When I finally "learned" that I could have a woodless orgasm, it left an unmistakable ache about 2 inches above and to the right of the base of my penis. After about 5 days of taking ALEVE, I found that I can go about my day with little discomfort.

Still, I wish I could achieve a woodrow again.

Thanks guys. I am going to start the Aleves and see if that helps. I put up Christmas lights today and I'm a basket case now. These b*lls are a real pain.
