1st biopsy, Sept 2009. 2 of 12 cores cancerous. Gleason 6. Chose active surveillance.
Good news on my 2nd biopsy. It tested negative for malignancy. That doesn't mean that I'm cancer free, but none was detected on the 12 cores this time.
So possibly, my supplement regimen is helping. I take PectaSol-C, DIM, BroccoMax, genistein, LEF Ultra Natural Prostate, Astaxanthin, 7-HMRlignans, Apigenin, Ibuprofen, D-3, OptiZinc, metformin, terrazosin, and a host of other vitamins and nutrients.
PSA scores:
09/13/2010.....2.82 (2nd biopsy)
06/04/2010.....2.96
02/12/2009.....3.07
09/15/2009.....5.06 (1st biopsy)
08/06/2009.....4.95 (primary doc ordered 1st biopsy)
02/12/2009.....3.51
01/09/2009.....2.99
07/21/2008.....3.36
10/22/2007.....2.81
05/08/2007.....2.69
07/18/2006.....3.00
01/06/2006.....3.90
Have been taking finasteride for about
6 weeks.
If my cancer gets worse, will consider HIFU (SonaBlate) or Proton Beam.
Age 71.

Did you change your diet after you were diagnosed? If so, what changes have you made?
Whatever you did and are now doing, keep doing it.

Congrats on the negative Biop. You sound like your on to something there. You may have a book in your future or lets but this regimen all together and go on TV with infomertial. I even have a name for it. "THE IGGY GFMPH"
On the serious side. Looks like your doing every thing right. What great news.

No drastic change in diet. Just try to avoid red meat but fall off the wagon frequently.
Am much more diligent in taking supplements.
At first my urologist (son of my high school classmate) was keen on surgery but once he realized my reluctance, he's encouraging my strategy. He recommends pomegrannate juice or extract, lyc
opene, and finasteride.
Just read "Advanced Prostate Cancer and Me", by Daniel J Goldstone. Goldstone recommends LycoPom and Essiac. Will probably add those two supplements once I reorder.

I was on IP-6 for a while. Don't remember why I stopped. The saw palmetto is in the LEF Ultra Natural Prostate.

Nice going, Iggy
I hope you always keep those numbers tamped down with your personalized routine.
All the best,

Thanks for y'all's encouragement.
I believe I will resume taking IP-6 because I see where they think it
may reduce formation of kidney stones, and I have a problem them.

Everything's going fine. Never started back on IP6. Now sip on 1/2 green matcha tea & 1/2 pomegranate juice powder. PSA just dropped again.

I love hearing about
supplement use. I've all but stopped them since my RRP because a bunch of conflicting reports I've read here and in the media, particularly the recent ones about
fish oils. I did double my dose of Saw Palmetto, lyc
opene, and fish oil before surgery, however. Noticed a bit of a change in peeing but I never got a PSA before surgery to determine whether it had dropped... I think supplements do have a lot of potential, tho. Glad they're working out for you so well, Iggy.

Wow Iggy your results are impressive and should give a lot of hope and comfort to other Gleason 6 guys out there.
