I'm about 8 month after my surgery (60 years old).

No pads after 2 days. However the ED part is a problem.

I'm taking 10mg Cialis every other day (Viagra and Levitra did zero help)

It helps some what but not good enough to have sex.

My urologist recomended the Osborne pump - to much for my pocket.

Did any of you had good luck with pumps around $100 or so

Welcome to HW. As always, Have to say I wish you didn't need to be here, but Welcome all the same.

I am on the daily 5 mg Cialis, and have no visible result, but then my purpose is just to keep the blood flowing. My DaVinci surgery did not have nerve-sparing as an objective sad .

I did get the Osbon ErecAid pump (which is considered prescription only - yes, it is expensive). After some long negotiations with my insurance company, they covered it. It would have been out-of-network, but they have a local durable-goods supplier who should have carried it, but elected not to, so that qualified me for an exemption, thus in-network. I did have to pay $50 or so in shipping and taxes.

I have not tried any others.

Several guys, including me use the cheap pump. Seems to work just as well as the expensive one. Here's the one I recommend and a bunch of guys here have purchased.

I have the medical pump but use the cheap pump works the same way. Might recomend that you check out franktalk.org they have several recomendations on that site. Firemans frined is the one I have and got it on e-bay for about $20. Good luck

I use the "Oncore" pump which I bought online for $100. It works fine for getting blood flow working.

Bought the ErecAid System "Classic" on line. It worked well.

Stopped using the pump after a few months because Trimix injections worked very well.

yep that one is just about like my cheap one. I have used mine for over a year with no problem.

I bought a hand operated "size enhancement" pump at an adult book store for $29 and it works just fine and does the same thing as those expensive electric pumps. The only difference is it did not come with rings, but I think you can buy rings seperately.   Some of you might not know, but pumps have been around for years and used for more than just getting an erection.  They have been advertized and used as an exercise method to help increase penis length and diameter. I actually used the pump off and on for about 8 years prior to my pca surgery just for that purpose, and I actually saw a gain of about 1.25 inch in permenant erection length and about .5 inch gain in diameter.  Doesn't seem like a lot for 8 years of work, but every little bit helps. Needless to say after my surgery, I lost about half of that gain in length, which I guess was caused by shortening of the uretha when reattaching to the bladder after the prostate was removed .

Hi Privet,

First time for me to post.

Age 54, I had a gleason score of 3+4=7. 1 of 12 biopsies had cancer.

It has been almost 2 months since my Divinci surgery. My nerves were spared, not that you could tell as of yet. I have tried the Muse 3 times with little success but after a discussion with the help line intend to try again this weekend. I have been taking the Cialis (I think it is 2.5 strength) for 45 days since surgery with no result noticed. Have decided to skip a week and get back on to finish the last 15 days of the amount I have. I will probably get more. I wonder if I use the pump each day if that is enough to preserve until "it" hopefully comes back to life.

My leaking is much better, it seemed like it would never be better and it just keeps improving

In response to the pump question, I have been using mine once a day, Mine is an Osborn Erectaid brand, manual pump and have not had a problem with it so far.  I sure wondered about buying a cheaper one like NY-sooner mentioned for $29, but chose not to.

I was worried about buying a manual pump when I saw the nice battery operated in the doctors office, but I think I like the control of the manual for how much vacumn is applied when I am ready to apply at my pace.

I have not used the rubber bands yet, just can't seem to try it yet, I keep wondering if I should trim hairs first, assuming all kinds of hair pulling/twisting pain.

Go to usamediquip.com. They specialize in inexpensive pumps and have tried every single model there is. They are all under $100.00.  Jack is an amazing man.  They will help you. Give them a call. they are the most underused resource in the ED world.

Hi Privet and November29, and welcome to you both.

A cheaper pump (around $29) will work well enough to see if a pump will work for you. However longer term, my experience is that they may not last. The squeeze-bulb pump on mine failed after about three months, and I substituted a freezer bag pump -- the kitchen type used to suck air out of food in plastic bags.

Also the constriction rings that came with mine were useless, so I substituted office rubber bands doubled over, and to make the bands easy to slip off over the rim, I fitted a collar to the outside of the tube.

Nearly three years later my contraption is still going strong, but has had a few running repairs!

Yes it's helpful but not essential to trim back the hairs around where the rim of the pump tube will sit. This both aids in getting a good seal and stopping rubber band torture.
