This Sucks part 3

I've never blogged before this.....I think this is blogging. I have nothing but positive praise for all of you who replied and or commented, Had a pity party for me and now Its over. Between everyone here, the best son a guy could ask for and the most beautiful girl I have ever seen or spent tine with, My wife and friends, Ive got to move forward. I have a car to work on today, just light work. It will be good to be in my shop. Todd keep beating the odds!

Some random thoughts.........

Have slept through the night once since surgery....

Still don't like tv.......

Thanks to all the Volvo owners, If u need a detail, let me know hahha..........

Will fight like hell to be productive and have a quality life.....

Will continue to visit these pages as it truly has been helpful. cant stress that enough.....

Volv. As I noted in "this sucks 2".. You know you have to be there for your wife and kid. Life is bigger than me, bigger than you. Alot of what you are IS THEM.

And beyond family and friends you now how countless others on theis board alone who are pulling for you, who care what happens. None of us can keep you alive for ever - and really not sure anyone would want that.

Screw death, LIFE is inevitable! I've got a saying I used long before I was DX with pca "I plan on living life while i'm alive". I hope you do just that!

I like the change of perspective you display today. It still SUCKS, you will still have days where that is all you can see. But you cannot allow that to consume you. Let the life you have do that!

P.S. I found that walking a few miles a day allowed me to sort things out better, and was really, really helpful to my state of mind. Keep busy living.

Grrr just noticed I messed up our signature last time I added an update. Now I will have to go back and look up all those dates. Oh well.

Volv, YES great that you have seen some new light. the advantage of dumping all that stuff here is that we really get to work our thoughts through it. You have seen the help your borthers here are willing to do. Yes every one of us have been on that pitty pot for one reason or another. I sure have had mine. Thanks to all the guys they helped me put my head back on facing foward.

Feel free to post your thoughts. We are here for each other. AS you can tell the place is all about support.

Great to hear you are moving in the right direction. We have all been there and know what you are going through. It does get better...a lot better as you are beginning to experience. Keep on keeping on. We all look forward to hearing from you and your recovery.

Welcome to the pity party club. I think at one time or another we have all been members and resigned only to join again at a later date. This site has done wonders for my mental health. If on my visits here I'm been feeling down I find others who have more problems then I have and I hand in my resignation.
All of this reminds me of my first meeting with Compassionate Friends ( a support group for people who have lost children) after the death of our 13 year old. When everyone had told their reason for attending it put things in perspective for me. One woman told of losing her daughter and young grandchild in a car crash and another told of losing one son to a traffic accident and a few years later her other son hanged himself.

I wish that 2011 brings everyone here the healing of all their physical issues and no more new members. That would be one GREAT year.
Got to go my 2 dogs are calling. What a great life they have, eat, sleep, urinate, defecate and then just wag their tails and get all the affection they can handle.

Yes I am spoiling Grace and Mojo but they do keep me active. One of them is always asking to go for a walk. I see them getting together in the corner and one of them will come trotting over and sit by the door which is the signal for a walk. We get back and within a few hours the other one will do the same thing. I always walk them together so no matter which one asks they both get to go. Even after coming in from running around our yard one of them will want to go for a walk. This starts around 7:00 AM everyday 7 days a week. Rain or Holidays mean nothing to either of them. All of this goes on until Lilly gets home from work when she insists on taking over the walking duties. She says it gives her some "Pack Leader" time with them.
I think Lilly had a conversation with them when I got home after my hospital stay and told them to keep active. They sure listened and I think some times go overboard.

Please tell Ron lilly and I both wish him a 0.00.

Thank you, Ger!  My husband is getting discourged with ED, and may face possible syrgery regarding his other 'male' problem.  We certainly do need a good year!
